Privacy, in plain words
Last updated October 7, 2026. This page is for players and for parents.
The short version
- You never give us your name, email, phone number, photo, voice or location.
- There is nowhere on this site to type anything.
- Your agent name is made up by the Lab, so nobody can tell who you are from it.
- Your secret QR code is how you get back to your agent. Keep it private.
- If you stop playing for 12 months, everything about your agent is deleted.
What we keep
- Your agent: a random ID number, the agent name you picked from our list, and the picture you picked from our set.
- Your country: just a 2-letter code like “US”, worked out on our own server from the internet connection when you play (or, if that does not work, from your device’s time zone setting, like “Europe/Madrid”). No other company is asked. It powers the “My country” leaderboard. We do not know your city or address.
- Your games: your scores, how long each run lasted, and the in-game moves (like taps and pickups) we use to check that scores are real.
- A login cookie named
lab_session, so the site remembers you on this device. It is only used by this site. - Your key is saved in this browser so we can show your QR code. On our side we only keep a scrambled version (a “hash”) that cannot be turned back into your key.
What we never keep
- No email, phone number, real name, birthday, photos, voice or GPS location.
- No ads, no ad trackers and no analytics tools from other companies.
- Your internet address is only used to stop people from spamming logins. We keep a scrambled version for 24 hours, then delete it.
Your QR code
- Your QR code holds a secret key. Anyone who scans it can play as you, so do not share it or post it online.
- Save it as a picture or print it. It is the only way to get your agent back on a new phone or after clearing your browser.
- When you scan a QR code or pick a picture of one, the picture is read on your device. The picture is never sent to us; only the key inside it is.
- If you think someone else has your code, go to Me, open “My QR code” and tap “New QR code”. The old one stops working right away.
Shared computers
Playing on a school or library computer? Open Me and tap “Log out” when you are done. Make sure you saved your QR code first, or you will not be able to get your agent back.
Leaderboards
The top players show their agent name, picture, country flag and score. Nothing else about you is shown.
Deleting your data
- If an agent has not played for 12 months, we delete it with all its scores.
- Want it gone sooner? Log out and do not scan your QR code again; it will be deleted after 12 months. A parent can also ask us to delete it sooner using the contact listed for this site.
Cookies
The games need cookies to keep you signed in and save your scores. If you decline, the games stay closed. You can change your mind at any time.
For parents
This site is built so that children can play without sharing personal information. We do not ask for, collect or sell personal information, and there are no chat or messaging features.
